Today was a truly impactful day for Kigezi Orphans Project and for me personally. I had the pleasure of engaging in a productive meeting with Hon. Flavia Nabugere and the field staff at the Uganda Bamboo Association (UBA) headquarters in Kampala. As many of you know, I am deeply committed to promoting bamboo as a powerful tool for climate change mitigation.
During the meeting, we reached a significant milestone — a partnership agreement that will soon make Kigezi Orphans Project a member of the Uganda Bamboo Association. We are deeply grateful to Hon. Flavia for this opportunity to further our efforts in environmental sustainability.

Hon. Flavia Nabugere, a former Minister of Water and Environment and former Member of Parliament for Kaliro District, is also a distinguished lawyer and human rights activist. Her calm and visionary leadership resonated throughout our discussion, reinforcing her dedication to addressing climate change.
At Kigezi Orphans Project, we are actively implementing various programs, including education, community empowerment, micro-credit schemes, and other initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods. Now, with the support of UBO, we are poised to expand our efforts by introducing bamboo planting in both primary and secondary schools in Kanungu District and the broader Kigezi region.

We warmly invite climate change advocates, investors, and partners to join us in this transformative initiative. Let’s work together to green our environment and create a sustainable future for the next generation.
Thank you, Hon. Flavia, for giving us another platform to serve our world through climate change mitigation
