Hello dear reader.
After reading this article, I hope you may be inspired by how the Lord has touched and transformed the young children at Kigezi Orphanage Community through the initiative of Mr. Katemba Julius and his colleague Mr. Katushabe Egidius.
My name is Naturinda Daniel, a Ugandan by nationality. I am married to my lovely wife named Mrs. Tindimwebwa Doreen and God has blessed us with a beautiful daughter called Aturinda Kiara.
I am an entrepreneur, Financial literacy coach and am currently employed at PROMIC Kabale Diocese Company Limited as a credit officer. In addition, God has been good to my family and we are among the donors to this amazing project. We contribute forty (40) liters of milk every month to the children’s diet under this project. I am here to share my story and experience with Kigezi Orphanage Community.
I first met the two gentlemen in 2015 when I was in 2nd year at University. They had come to meet my father for consultation work, who was then the Principle Education Officer of Kanungu District Local Government. We again met in 2018, and this time our friendship grew steadily as I learned about what they were doing and how their project had positively impacted the community of Rutenga Sub-county, Kanungu district, and the nearby communities.
My wife and I later joined the project after realizing the project’s impact and transformation. Ultimately, this inspiration would later result in donating monthly to help run the project. We appreciate the work being done by the project as many young pupils have attained quality education, proper health care, safe drinking water, and psychological help from well-trained personnel at the school.
I understand much has been done to the community and the surrounding communities owing to the existence of this project. The school provides quality education to pupils in Kanungu, Kabale, Rukungiri, and Kisoro districts among others. Through the connections and network of my brothers Julius and Egidius, pupils have attained scholarship and internship opportunities for those joining the secondary level and those pursuing their certificate, diploma, and bachelors. The project contributes to the formation of an employable class of citizens and job creators inclusive by inculcating the values of God-fearing, discipline, teamwork, and accountability into the pupils. I wish to let the reader know that education in Uganda is the greatest investment and one reaps enormous interest.
A lot has been said and done to ensure Kigezi Orphanage Community takes a step ever since it came into existence. Comprehensively, much more can be done if we put our hands together and give a thrust to the vision, mission, and objectives of this project, pushing the dream of Julius and Egidius so as to come to reality. The project is here to help the unprivileged child out there, and this will be possible if more good-hearted people come on board to assist in the operationalization of this project by providing financial support, social, materials and other tangible items project.
Conclusively, the world has posed many challenges not because of the acts of the ill-hearted but due to the silence of the kind and good-hearted people living on the face of the earth. St. James says faith without works is dead. It is everyone’s obligation to make the world a better place to live. There isn’t anyone so rich not to receive or so poor not to give. The Lord loves a cheerful giver.
May God keep you safe.
From myself and my family, we wish you a new year 2023 full of joy, peace, and love.
